The AI Tools That Power My Workflow

The AI Tools That Power My Workflow

AI is a core part of how I stay productive and efficient, from drafting emails to developing websites. Here’s a quick rundown of the tools I use, why I use them, and how they contribute to my daily work.

Apple Intelligence (iOS 18.2)

Apple’s native AI integration is… underwhelming. While I had high hopes for its integration with Siri, it’s been lackluster so far. Hopefully, future updates will improve its functionality and usability.

Anthropic Claude 102224

This is my go-to tool for serious work. I use Claude primarily in two ways:

  1. Drafting Client Emails: Using its project-based capabilities, it adapts to each client’s needs and preferences, saving me time and improving communication quality.
  2. Strategic Solutions: Whether it’s detailed problem-solving or complex strategies, Claude excels in providing thoughtful, nuanced responses.

ChatGPT Tools

ChatGPT 4o

This is my everyday assistant, integrated seamlessly into my iPhone for quick queries and lighter tasks. Its web search feature is especially useful for on-the-go research or fact-checking.

ChatGPT o1-preview

For deep dives, this tool is my favorite. From analyzing my P&L vs. W-2 to exploring the pros and cons of consulting vs. employment, it handles detailed planning with ease. It’s also my go-to for mapping out software development plans.

Perplexity Pro

Perplexity has officially replaced Google for me. When I need detailed web research, this tool’s precision and efficiency are unmatched.

Caret Plugin for Obsidian

For document analysis, especially when building “context chains,” Caret is invaluable. While I use it sparingly, it’s perfect for those times when every detail matters.

Development Tools

Replit Agent

When I need to prototype code quickly, Replit Agent is my first choice. It’s fast and intuitive, though it struggles with complex projects, where I transition to the next tool.

Cursor IDE

Cursor is my powerhouse for coding, especially when combined with Anthropic Claude. It’s excellent for managing multi-file projects, though it occasionally falters by losing context or deleting seemingly irrelevant (but important) code.

Bolt.new

My newest discovery, Bolt.new, blew me away with its ability to generate a fully functional website (like agw3.org) in just a few hours. It’s ideal for creating beautiful, Astro-based websites quickly.

These tools streamline everything from daily tasks to complex projects, allowing me to focus on what matters most: delivering value. Got a favorite AI tool I should try? Let me know!
